Installation Guide

Follow this step-by-step guide to install and activate itycod on your WordPress site.

Time Required: Approximately 10-15 minutes for complete installation and setup.

Before You Begin

Before installing itycod, make sure your server meets the following requirements:

System Requirements

  • βœ… WordPress 5.0 or higher
  • βœ… WooCommerce 4.0 or higher
  • βœ… PHP 7.4 or higher
  • βœ… MySQL 5.6 or higher
  • βœ… Memory limit: 128MB minimum (256MB recommended)
  • βœ… File upload size: 10MB minimum
Important: Always backup your website before installing new plugins. You can use plugins like UpdraftPlus or BackWPup for backups.

Installation Methods

There are three ways to install itycod. Choose the method that works best for you:

Method 1: WordPress Admin Panel (Recommended)

Download the Plugin

Download the latest version of itycod from your ityweb.com account dashboard or the email you received after purchase.

Access WordPress Admin

Log in to your WordPress admin panel:

https://yourwebsite.com/wp-admin

Navigate to Plugins

In the left sidebar, click on:

Plugins β†’ Add New

Upload Plugin

Click the "Upload Plugin" button at the top of the page, then:

  • Click "Choose File"
  • Select the itycod.zip file
  • Click "Install Now"

Activate Plugin

After installation completes, click the "Activate Plugin" button.

Method 2: FTP Upload

This method is useful if your server has file upload size limitations.

Extract the ZIP File

Extract itycod.zip on your computer. You should see a folder named itycod.

Connect via FTP

Use an FTP client like FileZilla to connect to your server with your FTP credentials.

Navigate to Plugins Folder

Go to the following directory:

/wp-content/plugins/

Upload the Folder

Upload the entire itycod folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.

Activate in WordPress

Go to WordPress Admin β†’ Plugins β†’ Installed Plugins and activate itycod.

Method 3: WP-CLI (Advanced)

For developers comfortable with command line:

# Upload the plugin file to your server first
wp plugin install /path/to/itycod.zip --activate

# Or if the folder is already in plugins directory
wp plugin activate itycod

License Activation

After installing the plugin, you must activate your license to unlock all features and receive updates.

Get Your License Key

Find your license key in:

  • Your purchase confirmation email
  • Your ityweb.com account dashboard

License key format:

XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX

Navigate to Settings

In WordPress admin, go to:

itycod Settings β†’ License Activation

Enter License Key

Paste your license key in the input field and click "Activate License".

Verify Activation

You should see a green success message:

βœ… License activated successfully!
License Limits: Each license can be used on one domain. For additional sites, please purchase additional licenses.

Initial Configuration

After activation, configure the basic settings:

1. Configure Checkout Settings

itycod Settings β†’ Checkout Customization
  • Choose your preferred colors
  • Customize button texts
  • Set direction (RTL/LTR)
  • Configure layout options

2. Set Up Security Features

itycod Settings β†’ Phone Verification
itycod Settings β†’ IP Blocking
itycod Settings β†’ Order Limit Settings

3. Add Checkout to Products

There are two ways to add the checkout form to your products:

Option A: Using Shortcode

Add this shortcode to your product page or anywhere in your theme:

[itycod_checkout product_id="123"]

Replace 123 with your actual product ID.

Option B: Using Elementor Widget

If you use Elementor:

  1. Edit your product page with Elementor
  2. Search for "itycod Checkout" widget
  3. Drag and drop the widget to your desired location
  4. Configure widget settings
  5. Update the page

Verification

To verify everything is working correctly:

Visit a Product Page

Go to any product page where you added the checkout form.

Test the Checkout

Try placing a test order to ensure:

  • Checkout form displays correctly
  • All fields are working
  • Shipping methods appear
  • Payment methods are available
  • Order completes successfully

Check Mobile View

Test the checkout on mobile devices or use browser developer tools to verify responsive design.

Success! If test orders complete successfully, your installation is complete.

Troubleshooting

Common Installation Issues

Issue: "Destination folder already exists"

Solution: Delete the existing itycod folder from /wp-content/plugins/ before uploading the new version.

Issue: "Upload size exceeds limit"

Solution: Use Method 2 (FTP Upload) or increase your PHP upload limit. Contact your hosting provider for assistance.

Issue: "Plugin requires WooCommerce"

Solution: Install and activate WooCommerce before activating itycod.

Issue: "License activation failed"

Solutions:

  • Check that your license key is correct
  • Ensure your domain matches the licensed domain
  • Verify your site can connect to ityweb.com
  • Contact support if the issue persists

Issue: "Checkout form not displaying"

Solutions:

  • Clear all caches (browser, WordPress, hosting)
  • Verify the shortcode is correct
  • Check for JavaScript errors in browser console
  • Temporarily disable other plugins to check for conflicts

Updating the Plugin

To update itycod to the latest version:

Backup Your Site

Always backup before updating any plugin.

Check for Updates

Go to WordPress Admin β†’ Dashboard β†’ Updates

Update Plugin

If an update is available, click "Update Now" next to itycod.

Verify Everything Works

Test the checkout after updating to ensure everything works correctly.

Automatic Updates: With an active license, itycod will notify you of updates automatically in your WordPress dashboard.
